ABOUT
As an Independent Educational Consultant, I aim to provide students and their families with a structured, easy-to-understand, and financially affordable strategy to help them identify their best college choices. Employing research, the student’s personal preferences, the family’s financial situation, and my knowledge base and experience, a list containing the student’s best collegiate options will be created.
Guidance will be provided regarding recommended high school class selection, standardized testing alternatives, essay topics, and college application options. Advice is also available for students seeking to compete in a sport at the NCAA level. Finally, once letters of acceptance are tendered and financial aid packages awarded, comparisons can be made to find that one “great fit” school.
Expedition Admissions Consulting's tagline is “guiding you through the college admissions process.” Guiding is not hand-holding. It provides the student with references, research, assignments, and self-reflection to decide where they would like to attend college and what they might want to study. My main goal is to quickly develop mutual trust to work together to get the student the best results. Plans vary based on each student and family's needs. Ranging from the comprehensive plan to ala carte services such as Common App/Essay speed read or FAFSA prep, whatever you need is available.
I received my B.B.A from Hofstra University and have a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from the University of California at Irvine. I am a retired Suffolk County Police Supervisor and also serve as a New York State certified Safe Boating Instructor. I am also an Independent Educational Consultants Association Associate member.
